based on industry experience in both new york and los angeles, shortfuzed is
being developed out of a real need to grant those in the industry greater access to great short films. development and literary departments in new york and los angeles will request to screen short films from as far back as six years! remembering the names of short films or the filmmaker and finding the films isn’t easy and often times unsuccessful. we aim to eliminate these missed opportunities. shortfuzed.com is providing the industry with a database to search for shorts by festival, year, school, award-winner, and genre. additionally, your short film is your calling card, and if you get a call to submit your short to someone in the business, it could take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to get your film in their hands. shortfuzed.com is offering to host your film so that your short film can be accessed immediately by those seeking it.

what kind of agreement?
shortfuzed.com is not purchasing your short, rather shortfuzed.com is entering into a non-exclusive, royalty free agreement to publicly display your short on the world wide web. this agreement can be terminated at the filmmaker’s discretion. view the shortfuzed.com agreement.

how much does it cost?
this is a free site. there is no fee to screen, and currently no fee to submit your film.

what is the submission criteria?
short film under 30 minutes. you must be the sole owner with exclusive rights and all clearances for your film. pre-requisite of festival inclusion or film school status.

what materials need to be submitted?
your film in flash .flv file 480 x 360 (preferred), quicktime .mov file 480 x 360 (preferred), cd-r, dvd-r, a signed shortfuzed legal agreement, one film still 72dpi 75x55 pixels, full production credits, synopsis, contact info, and any pertinent links.

what if i only want to screen a trailer of my short?
shortfuzed.com understands that some filmmakers may not want to screen their film in its entirety at any given stage. for this reason, we have created a category called CLIPS.

how will the films be screened?
shortfuzed.com will stream the collection in FLASH 8, the newest source of media delivery on the web, which eliminates the need for the viewer to choose between quicktime, windows media player, and realplayer.
